India-based used car marketplace Cars24 has promoted Arpit Srivastava from senior general manager to head of brand.

Arpit SrivastavaAccording to a news release, Srivastava’s responsibilities will encompass brand strategy, communications and campaigns. He has more than a decade of experience in marketing across such industries as consumer electronics, media, and IT.

“His proven track record in marketing will undoubtedly contribute to further enhancing Cars24’s brand presence and market position,” the company said.

Srivastava joined Cars24 in May 2022, and the company said he has since been responsible for building a cost-efficient customer acquisition channel and driving growth and optimization via CRM strategies.

Before joining Cars24, he was chief marketing manager at Samsung India for about three years. He has also worked for Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group) and Sony India.

Cars24’s other recent high-level appointment was that of Deepak Gupta as VP of engineering.

Founded in 2015, Cars24 was initially a b-to-b marketplace but later shifted to a c-to-b-to-c model. Its consolidated operating revenue rose by 7.8% year on year to INR55.3 billion ($664 million U.S.) in the 12 months to March 2023.

The Gurugram-headquartered company recently launched a vehicle scrappage initiative.
