Proptech startup Huspy has appointed Jose Carlos Linares Bermúdez (above) as head of commercial operations in Spain.

Linares Bermúdez joins Huspy from Keller Williams Realty Inc., where he was regional director Spain and Andorra for five years. Prior to that, he was international general manager at real estate consultancy Inversity.

Linares Bermúdez has a degree in real estate from Alcala de Henares University and an MBA from UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia).

In a LinkedIn post, he wrote: “Many thanks to David Chamás Baena, Jad Antoun and all the national and international team of Huspy for the trust placed in me so that together we can make Huspy the home of the best real estate agents in the world.”

Based in the UAE, Huspy commenced operations in Spain — its first European market — during 2022.

The company says it wants to become a real estate super app in the Middle East in Europe. In the UAE, Huspy’s app connects mortgage brokers to more than 15 banks and lenders and digitizes the mortgage process. It has also built a CRM that is accessible through the app.

It recently launched Agent Hub, a physical training and sales space for realtors in Madrid.
