, the leading marketplace horizontal in Turkey, has unveiled a c-to-b used car auction service called OtoBid.

Initially available in Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa and Antalya, OtoBid promises consumers the highest bids for their cars via auctions to dealers in its network and the completion of the sale within three days.

“The suggested auction price is displayed after a preliminary evaluation based on vehicle information [to be entered] on our website or mobile application. After a detailed examination of the vehicle at an OtoBid service point, the recommended final auction starting price of the vehicle is determined with the approval of the seller,” OtoBid explains on its website.

Selling a vehicle with OtoBid is free and the seller can view the auction process online after bodywork and mechanical checks at one of ten service centers.

Even before the launch of OtoBid, Sahibinden had been increasing its presence in the auto segment. It recently acquired auto repair chain Auto King and introduced a raft of new features for dealers.

OtoBid competitor OtoPlus — a subsidiary of LetGo Turkey — has been involved in more than 100,000 vehicle transactions over the past decade.
