Dr. Thomas Krauße (above) has joined Germany-based automotive marketplace AutoScout24 as chief marketing officer.

According to the company, he is an e-commerce expert and will be in charge of B2C marketing operations, “sharpening AutoScout24’s positioning across all European core markets and further expanding the strong position of Europe’s largest online car market.”

“We are pleased that we are handing responsibility for the AutoScout24 brand into the hands of a proven expert like him. He has not only demonstrated many times that he is a creative and strategically thinking marketing expert, but he also brings with him the entrepreneurial spirit that we live by,” said AutoScout24 CEO Peter Brooks-Johnson.

Krauße has held similar positions at holiday home provider HomeToGo and used designer furniture marketplace WayFair. In his most recent role, he was CMO at career portal WayFair. In 2022, Krauße co-founded Green Circle, a marketplace for used toys.

According to AutoScout24, it has approximately two million vehicle listings, more than 43,000 dealer partners and about 30 million users per month. Apart from Germany, it also operates in the Netherlands, France, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Luxembourg, Austria, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

The company recently unveiled a series of features and measures to help dealers reach more buyers.
