Autochek Uganda has appointed Faith Margaret Naikayu (above) as its head of operations, promoting her from the commercial manager role.

Autochek Uganda is a subsidiary of Autochek.Africa, which also operates marketplaces for buying and selling of used cars in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Morocco and Egypt.

According to Autochek, Naikayu has been instrumental in the company’s growth, “particularly in managing the fleet and legal operations.”

“Her hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as she has provided invaluable support to other departments. Faith leads the team responsible for pre- and post-delivery management of assets, recovery, and technical operations,” it noted in a LinkedIn post.

Prior to joining Autocheck, Naikayu was working in account departments of different companies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business computing and information management from Ndejje University.

Founded in 2020, Autochek.Africa acquired three brands in one year: general marketplace CoinAfrique and KIFAL Auto, a Morocco-based auto vertical, and Egypt-based auto marketplace AutoTager. It has retail footprints at more than 1,500 dealer and workshop locations and more than 70 banking allies.

Its competitor includes Auto24.Africa that has expanded into four new markets.

In Uganda, Autocheck said it’s built a ‘strong’ relationship with automotive dealers.

“We have aimed to provide car financing options to their clients, in light of the growing trend of car-hire purchases. Our car financing solution has been tailored to meet the needs of car buyers and dealers in Uganda, ensuring they can access the vehicles they need without financial strain,” it added in another post.
