Dmitry Sergienkov, CEO of job board HeadHunter, has joined the board of real estate marketplace Cian Plc as a non-executive director, according to a statement from the latter.

Sergienkov was appointed HeadHunter CEO in January 2023. Prior to that, he was deputy general director responsible for the implementation of strategy and product development at HeadHunter.

Sergienkov has more than a decade of experience in mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions at investment banks in Russia and abroad. Before joining HeadHunter he was vice president at JP Morgan Chase, where he worked with companies in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Cian founder and chairman Maxim Melnikov, who also sits of the board of HeadHunter, commented that Sergienkov would bring Cian deep industry expertise in such fields as strategic development and capital markets.

In the first nine months of 2023, Cian had 1.9 million listings and an average of 19.4 million unique monthly visitors.

HeadHunter Group Plc is 22.7% owned by Ivan Tavrin’s Kismet Capital Group, which also owns 1% of Cian and 100% of marketplace horizontal Avito.
