U.K.-based used car marketplace Carwow has agreed a collaboration with Porsche-owned MHP Consulting U.K. to support vehicle manufacturers.

The new enterprise will provide consultancy services to support new and existing vehicle manufacturers with their marketing strategies.

It will combine Carwow’s data capabilities and expertise with MHP’s consultancy services to offer the automotive sector access to an extensive range of solutions from one place.

The new collaboration’s services include strategy design, go-to-market strategy, technical and operational infrastructure, regulatory compliance, sales, aftersales and used car strategy, logistics and supply and partnerships

“The combined expertise of our two organisations expands our existing offering to OEMs,” said Carwow’s commercial director Sepi Arani.

“The need for automotive brands to develop a robust strategy, backed by live consumer data, is critical for success in 2024 and beyond.  Our recent acquisition of the Auto Express, evo, Carbuyer and Driving Electric brands has also expanded our offering for automotive brands as well as giving access to more data and widening our potential reach to respective audiences.”

Carwow has also reported growth in its daily auctions for Q12024. They saw a 37% year-on-year (y-o-y) uplift in the total volume of live listings, which resulted in a 48% rise in the number of dealers bidding and a 44% increase in dealer purchases.

Carwow said private sellers listed almost 50,000 cars and light commercial vehicles in Carwow’s auctions during the quarter. The number of customers requesting an online vehicle valuation increased by 68% y-o-y.

In March, Carwow launched a new system to safeguard dealers from buying cars with mechanical and electrical faults at its online auctions.
