Ravi Shankar, the CMO of Malaysia-based auto marketplace Carsome, has stepped down after just over two years in the role.

The company operates in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines.

“I had a great time at Carsome. I’m moving on to a new challenge that will allow me to expand on AI-powered marketing on a larger scale,” he commented.

Before joining Carsome, Shanka was chief growth officer at Air Asia, and he worked as a campaign management lead at Google earlier in his career.

Carsome recently appointed auto industry veteran Eric Chan as president and COO.
