Qatar’s Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has unveiled a law to enable property sales to be completed using the SAK app.

SAK is used by the Department of Real Estate Registration — part of the Ministry of Justice in Qatar — to provide e-services.

E-signatures will be used to make the process more efficient, and all registered users will be provided with serial numbers that can be used to obtain documentation.

Moreover, additional real estate data will be made available to help stakeholders make better-informed decisions.

Law No. 5 of 2024 regulating Real Estate Registration is expected to come into force in the near future. It is part of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to develop and diversify the local economy.

The announcement was made by Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, assistant undersecretary for real estate registration and documentation affairs at the MoJ.

Meanwhile, all property-related updates, including rulings and announcements, will now immediately be posted on the MoJ’s official website to reduce the risk of fraud and increase transparency.
