Rakuma, a marketplace app owned by Japan-based e-commerce behemoth Rakuten, has designated AnyBuy as a purchasing agent service for overseas buyers to buy used products.

AnyBuy, operated by MikaDuki, is already offering more than 700 million products from more than 3,000 Japanese sites to buyers in more than 100 countries.

For Rakuma’s customers, AnyBuy handles the transactions with the seller, including product evaluation and shipment. The seller just needs to ship the product to a domestic warehouse.

Rakuten is already working with PChome and EBay to promote the sale of used goods in Japan to consumers in Taiwan and the U.S.

C-to-c marketplace Rakuma launched in Japan in 2014 and later expanded to Taiwan. Rakuten integrated c-to-c marketplace app Fril into Rakuma after acquiring the latter in 2018.
