166 Emirati citizens have completed the Dubai Land Department’s Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme. 28 developers and brokers — as well as real estate marketplaces Property Finder, Bayut and Dubizzle — participated in the program.

The Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme was launched earlier this year as part of Dubai Social Agenda 33, which, among other goals, aims to increase the proportion of realtors in the Emirate who are citizens to 15% over the next 3 years, while also increasing the number of Emiratis in leadership positions in the industry — a strategy known as “Emiritisation.”

The program consists of three training courses and includes collaborative courses with workshops, specialized training, lectures and real-world industry experiences.

Mattar Al Tayer, chair of the Supreme Committee of Urban Planning in Dubai and commissioner general for the infrastructure, urban planning and wellbeing pillar, said: “The program aims to enhance training citizens within the specified categories of the strategy and supports achieving the goals of the ‘Dubai Economic Agenda D33’ and the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision.”
