India-based used cars marketplace Cars24 has launched FourDoor, a subscription-based car repair and maintenance service.

With FourDoor, Cars24 says it wants to address gaps in India’s fragmented car repair market, which it describes as being characterized by non-genuine parts, a lack of transparency in billing practices, and unreliable turnaround times.

The FourDoor website lists AC service and repair; general inspection; body and paint work; steering and suspension; engine and brakes; and car detailing and washing among its services. It promises same-day delivery and “no hidden charges.”

Currently operational in Gurugram, where Cars24 is headquartered, FourDoor is expected to scale nationwide in the coming months.

“We see FourDoor as a critical piece of our ecosystem, which supports car owners throughout their automotive journey. Cars24 aims to be the go-to platform for all automotive needs. FourDoor embodies our vision of making car care hassle-free and utterly transparent,” Cars24 co-founder and CMO Gajendra Jangid said.

This “ecosystem” includes on-demand driver service and SUV-only showrooms.

Last month, Cars24 signed a letter of intent (to join the Indian government’s Open Network for Digital Commerce, an initiative that aims to promote open digital networks for the exchange of goods and services and democratize digital commerce in India.

Founded in 2015, Cars24 was initially a b-to-b service but later shifted to a c-to-b-to-c model and evolved into a marketplace.
