SMG Swiss Marketplace Group has named Marc Oestreich (above) as sales director of SMG Advertising, effective June 17, 2024. He will oversee the marketing and direct sales of digital advertising across the company’s entire online network, according to a press release.

SMG’s marketplaces include AutoScout24, Homegate, Ricardo and Tutti.ch. The company was founded in 2021 by TX Group, Ringier, Mobiliar and General Atlantic.

Oestreich will be tasked with planning and implementing a new sales strategy to boost online advertising revenue and the company’s customer base.

Oestreich brings more than 16 years of sales experience – many of which have been within the SMG ecosystem, “having developed an extensive customer network in the DACH region’s digital environment,” according to SMG.

Prior to joining SMG, he served as director of client sales at Goldbach Audience and led the development of Goldbach Publishing’s first digital marketing unit as director of sales digital.

Before working for Goldbach, Oestreich was head of sales at TX Markets Advertising and was head of sales at Tamedia Marketplaces Advertising, which is also owned by the TX Group — one of the companies that founded SMG.
