Johanna covers Germany and provides a wide range of research for the AIM Group, which she joined in 2018. She’s a journalist with a Master’s degree from Birmingham City University. Her extensive international experience gave her insight into media landscapes in several regions of the world including East Africa, where she supported Rwandan journalists to produce a radio broadcast for the Voice of America. She’s interested in new business models for media because she believes that without innovation, independent journalism will fail. Johanna was selected among the journalists of the year for 2017 in the entrepreneur category by the journalism magazine Medium Magazine. Based in Munich, she has a special interest on covering online mis- and disinformation.

- Even though she returned to Munich several years ago, she still has not found the perfect replacement for Rwandan coffee.
